Delete Your Account
This page explains how to delete your Glagol account and all associated data. Glagol ("we", "us") is a Russian language–learning application published by the Glagol team.
1. How to delete your account
In the app (recommended — instant)
You can permanently delete your account directly inside Glagol:
- Open Glagol and sign in with your account
- Open Settings (gear icon)
- Go to the Danger Zone tab
- Tap "Delete my account" and confirm
Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately and permanently.
By email
Alternatively, send a deletion request to info@glagol.app from the email address linked to your account. We will process the request within 30 days.
2. What data is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the following:
- Account identity — email address, display name, and Google profile photo URL
- Learning progress — vocabulary mastery, lesson and unit completion, XP, streaks, and achievements
- Preferences — chosen avatar, display name, and language settings
3. Data retention
We retain your data only while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed immediately from our live database (Firebase Firestore) and purged from backups within 30 days. No personal learning data is retained after that period.
